Coaching changes at Banchory Tennis Club.
We would like to thank Vikki for her four years of service at Banchory Tennis Club. Over the past 4 years, Vikki has set up a thriving Junior coaching program. We wish her well in all her current and future activities especially her busy role as the District coach for North East Scotland.
We have pleasure in announcing our new Banchory head coach Ross Lamont.
Ross is very enthusiastic about taking on the new role in Banchory. He has most recently been working at Kippie Lodge (under the watchful eye of his dad Alan), and at David Lloyd. This year he has passed his grade 3 tennis qualification enabling him to carry out all coaching duties within Banchory Tennis club.
Ross is keen to continue the excellent Junior program set up by Vikki, but also to offer Adult coaching to meet the requirements of our membership.
Initially, we plan to offer the same days and time blocks run by Vikki for all the Junior after school classes, but also to set up various adult blocks depending on demand. General feedback in the past was that this aspect of coaching was lacking at the club. Hopefully Ross will address this.
We are planning to hold a ‘Meet the Coach’ session on Sunday March 9th at 2 p.m.
This will be an open session to introduce Ross to any members (junior and senior) who want to come along and have a hit.
If you wish to contact Ross yourself, he is available via the website links
Ross will send out an Email to all the Juniors who were attending coaching last year, to confirm whether they wish to continue with the after school classes this year. Naturally, any other junior members wishing to start the coaching are welcome to contact Ross to book onto a slot.
Ross will also be running the Easter tennis coaching camp during the week commencing April 14th. There is a separate article regarding this Easter Coaching Camp.
Please contact Ross to book onto this camp.

If you have any questions relating to any aspect of tennis please feel free to contact Ross. Contact BLTC Coach
