Update for Phase 3

Dear Visitor,

Further to the First Minister’s decision to move to Phase 3 of Lockdown, and updated advice from the LTA and Tennis Scotland, I am pleased to advise the following changes:

Junior Coaching

Junior classes will resume as soon as we can complete the appropriate risk assessments required by the LTA.

Classes will be available to book on the ClubSpark Website but only for juniors who are members of the club. I will write to Juniors separately once these have been posted. In the meantime, please ensure that all relevant emergency contact details and any appropriate medical information is included in your membership profile on the website so we can ensure safeguarding.

Fees for the classes will be detailed on the website but may be discounted by any amounts outstanding for lessons which were cancelled from the last coaching block. Contact Pawel for details if this applies to you.

Doubles Play

Doubles play is now permitted between 4 different households. However, it is not likely that we will be able to resume club night in its normal format for now as there are limits on the number of people from different households who may participate (maximum 15 people but from only 5 different households).

Court booking

You will notice that we have now implemented the new booking slot timings and members have the flexibility to book 2, 3 or 4 slots of 30 minutes per booking. Please do all that you can to ensure that we are not left with unusable slots of 30 minutes throughout the schedule, and book to start/end your play directly before or after an adjacent booking where at all possible.

Members may now book guests to play by booking through the website (not the app) and following the group booking procedure detailed in the July Newsletter. The cost is £2.50 per 30 minutes.

Non-members may book selected times on Court 2 on a Pay & Play basis, bookable 3 days in advance. I am sure you will extend a warm welcome to these guests and encourage them to become full members in future!

Wellbeing and Safety

Please continue to follow good practice in terms of hygiene when using the courts or entering the clubhouse (one at a time and only if strictly necessary). Wash hands, use sanitiser, keep 2m distanced from others and take your belongings and any rubbish and litter away with you.

Detailed guidance from the LTA may be found here

I am sure many of you will be very happy to be playing doubles again - enjoy!

Best wishes
